Phones

Ever since Antonio Meucci invented the phone in 1849, people have been trying to improve phones, and phones have been getting better.  Now in 2017 there is a rivalry among the two industry leaders, iPhone and Samsung.  Recently the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge caught on fire and exploded. According to NY Times the phone's battery had a default which was causing it to get to hot and explode. Samsung had a recall on the phones and people who wanted to keep their phone because nothing was wrong with it Samsung had disconnected the phones so they would no longer work. The IPhone 7 was a big hit and it is also water resistant so if you get sprayed with a hose or some how get water on your phone without it being completely consumed in water it is fine, but however you can buy a waterproof case or life proof case then take your phone into water without a problem. The world has improved phones by having phones with no screen then having phones with a screen and sliding screens but now they have touch screen which made phones was a huge step up in the phone industies.

    Panda’s

According to The NY Times, China’s Giant Panda is no longer extinct. The panda used to be endangered and if they didn't make a change they could have been extinct, but  The reason why the pandas were being endangered because the chinese people killed them for food and they also feared them and thought they were monsters so that's also part of the reason they were being killed.  A female can weigh from 150-220 pounds, and male pandas can weigh unto 350 pounds. They are around 2-3ft tall, and 3.9-6.2ft long.  The average lifespan of a panda is 20 years if they are not killed before that. A panda's daily diet consists almost entirely of the leaves, stems and shoots of various bamboo species. Bamboo contains very little nutritional value so pandas must eat 12-38 kg every day to meet their energy needs. But they do branch out, with about 1% of their diet comprising other plants and even meat.
